Time to Get Involved: Oct. 11th is National Day of Action for Equality

On Oct. 11th, throngs of pro-equality advocates will rally in Washington DC at the National Equality March.
The March is the centerpiece of a National Day of Action that calls on people across the country to make Oct. 11 a day of united action for full legal equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
I'm writing to invite you to take part in this National Day of Action by volunteering to be part of our virtual phone bank or take part in a local action.

Because Oct. 11th is also widely recognized as National Coming Out Day, many organizations are already planning major local events in addition to the March on Washington.
Equality Florida is hosting a virtual phone bank that will enable you to talk to Florida voters and ask them to join our effort to repeal Florida's shameful anti-gay adoption ban that literally tears families apart.
Phone banking is easy and only requires that you have a phone and a computer. We'll train you on what to say and connect you to an online system that dials numbers for you.
Most of all, I invite you take an action that ensures your voice is heard from City Hall to the State Legislature to our Nation's Capital. Show your support for securing full LGBT equality under the law in all 50 states.
Full equality is not a privilege we hope one day will be bestowed. It is a self-evident right that must be recognized at all levels of government.
