Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum has launched the state's appeal to overturn Judge Cindy Lederman's decision declaring the state's homophobic adoption ban against gays and lesbians unconstitutional.
Here's the brief:
Bill McCollum is also running for governor of Florida in 2010 against Alex Sink, the Florida CFO who was an outspoken opponent of Amendment 2 and who recently spoke to the Florida GLBT Democratic Caucus in support of the community.
The American Conservative Union gave McCollum a lifetime grade of 89 for his votes on issues like business-friendly legal reform, tax limits and abortion restrictions.
We'll be covering both the Gay Adoption case and the gubernatorial race as they progress here in Florida.
