On Thursday April 30, 2009, I stopped by 450 West 31st Street in Manhattan and headed up to the 12th floor for the vacation-dream-inducing Gay and Lesbian Travel Expo sponsored by HX Magazine. There were gorgeous men from Argentina and Greece and Spain and Berlin all saying the same thing in romantic accents: "I hope to see you when you come to visit us", and making me believe that they really meant those words for me alone.

I caught up with George T. Neary, Associate Vice President, Culture and Tourism, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau. George had number of reasons why now is a great time to come on down.
