Going to the Chapel... of Protest?
A group in Florida called Impact-Florida has announced it will protest outside Governor "Live and Let Live" Charlie Crist's wedding to Carole Rome this month. The group will first gather outside the First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg on Dec. 12, wearing pink shirts, to "congratulate" Crist on his wedding, and then move to the wedding reception at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in downtown St. Petersburg for a candlelight vigil.
The protest of the wedding stems from Crists's support of Florida's Amendment 2.

Florida-Impact's website says:
After the positive congratulatory observance, there will be a candlelight vigil close to the Vinoy in downtown St. Pete to mourn the loss of gays' right to get married.
The group hopes for over 1,000 participants in what they are calling a "peaceful and respectful" event. Impact-Florida spokeswoman Lorna Bracewell said:
Our goal is to celebrate the governor's and every Floridian's fundamental right to marry. Our theme is going to be, Congratulations Governor - When Can I Get Married?
Our organization sees in his wedding an opportunity to illustrate the unfairness and the injustice of Amendment 2.
