It is my pleasure to welcome our newest contributor to Bilerico-Florida, Michael Emanuel Rajner!

Michael is a longtime activist and advocate for our community. I have had the distinct honor of working beside him on many causes including the fight against the bigotry of Fort Lauderdale's Mayor Naugle, during which he earned the apt title of the "Articulate Shouter."

Michael is the National Community Organizer for the National Association of People with AIDS, as well as the director of HIV/AIDS education and policy for the Florida GLBT Democratic Caucus. He is a passionate, dedicated activist who knows how to go into the trenches and give a voice to those that are too often not heard.

As you will see with his first post today detailing his protest and confrontation of Senator Joe Lieberman at the weekend rally for McCain in South Florida, Michael is not afraid to get in your face and speak the truth! So be sure to give Michael a big Bilerico-Florida welcome and get ready to get active!
